Second-hand LPs can be in excellent condition, but they often have unwanted stickers on the covers. Think of price stickers, labels with collection numbers, or even tape residue. At Vinyleers, we understand how important it is to restore the original state of your record covers without damaging them. That’s why we’re happy to share our tips and methods for removing stickers.

For most stickers, we use a method involving white spirit. By putting the white spirit in a spray bottle, we can apply it directly and precisely to the sticker. Then, we gently wipe it off with a paper towel or use a special sticker removal pen. This pen allows us to carefully remove the sticker without damaging the cover.

If a sticker is still fairly intact, we use a different technique. By briefly heating the sticker with a lighter, the glue softens, allowing us to carefully pull the sticker off.

Some stickers, such as hype stickers or other unique details, are often left on intentionally. They tell a story about the record’s history and can even add to the charm and value of your collection.

With the right tools and techniques, we ensure that your covers look clean and well-maintained while preserving the original appearance of your LPs.
