Re-mastered at CBS Recording Studios New York on the CBS DisComputer System Originally issued as LN 3521/BN 554 on March 28, 1960. Recorded in New York City at 30th Street Studio on September 11, 26 and 27 and October 4 and 8, 1957 The credit for "Dear Old Stockholm" is wrong. It is an old Swedish folk song "Ack Värmland du sköna" (Oh Värmland, you wonderfull) written by Anders Fryxell ca 1840. Stan Getz fell in love with it when touring Sweden in the 50´s and made it famous. Max Bruch also borrowed the melody in his "Concerto For Clarinet", op. 88 that was performed first time in 1912. As a Swede it is annoying to see that one of our traditional folksongs is credited to Stan Getz...
