Standard jewel case with black tray with 10-page booklet with liner note and list of all titles in the British Composers series. This release contains a number of Elgar's own works which he recorded at a number of sessions between 1926 and 1933. The recordings were originally issued by HMV on 78 rpm discs and digitally remastered at Abbey Road Studios in 1993. (p) 1993 (Digital remastering) & 2000. (c) 2000. This release is included in the British Composers series of EMI Classics, but is also issued under 'The Elgar Edition' banner in association with the Elgar Society and the Elgar Foundation.
