At Vinyleers, it's not just about records but also about the equipment needed to enjoy that music. When we buy collections, we often receive audio equipment as well. Sometimes these are standard products like CD players and amplifiers from the '90s, but occasionally, we come across very special devices.

One of the most remarkable finds was a collection from someone who had amassed many tape recorders. This collection included tape recorders from brands like Studer, Revox, and TEAC. The collection was so extensive that the equipment was scattered throughout his house. We ended up removing eight pallets full of audio equipment from his home. It was impressive how many beautiful and unique devices came out of this collection.

We have sold most of the equipment, but we kept a few items for ourselves, such as a Studer that is currently being carefully refurbished. Another top item was a TEAC X-2000R. This was the recorder made famous by Pulp Fiction. In the scene where Mia attempts suicide by overdose, she plays the song "Girl You'll Be a Woman Soon" by Urge Overkill on this recorder. We had this machine inspected by Marcel from Zed Audio Lab.
