Buddy Holly
Buddy Holly was an American singer, guitarist and songwriter, born in 1936 in Lubbock, Texas. With his fresh sound and clever songwriting he took rock and roll to a new level, heard in songs like “That’ll Be the Day”, “Peggy Sue” and “Everyday”. Despite his short career, he inspired countless artists, including The Beatles and Bob Dylan. An unusual detail is that Holly wore his now-iconic glasses against his manager’s advice, who thought they looked uncool, but they instead became a trademark of his image.
