Depeche Mode
British band Depeche Mode, formed in 1980, became pioneers of electronic music and grew into one of the world’s biggest acts. With albums such as Violator, Music for the Masses and Songs of Faith and Devotion and hits like "Enjoy the Silence", "Personal Jesus" and "Just Can’t Get Enough", Depeche Mode set the standard for synthpop and electronic rock. Their dark, innovative sound inspired countless artists. A fun fact is that Depeche Mode played their very first gig in a school hall, long before they filled stadiums around the world.
