Doe Maar
Doe Maar is a Dutch band that became one of the most popular acts in the country’s pop history during the early 1980s. Their blend of reggae, ska and pop produced hits such as “32 jaar”, “Is dit alles”, “Smoorverliefd”, “Pa” and “De bom”. Their fresh and direct style particularly resonated with young audiences, sparking what was called “Doe Maar mania.” An unusual fact is that in 1983 the band even had their own comic book, portraying the members as cartoon heroes.
