Saartje and Fifth's Avenue were played on a Kawai upright piano at the Theater aan de haven, Scheveningen- 26 January 1979, the other pieces on a Steinway grand piano at the Bimhuis, Amsterdam-1 September 1979. In Saartje use is made of a mute pedal (for practicing).
