General notes about this release (please note: our version may differ a little. see the comments above):

The (single) gate-fold sleeve contains notes in Dutch on the outside.
Inside it has the sung texts in their original languages of French, Latin, German and Dutch.

The inside lists also all the works with their composers of all 5 records in conjunction with a pictured catalog of the 5 albums.
In the period 1966-1970 Syntagma Musicum with Kees Otten made 5 records for EMI; 3 albums and 1 double album.
From these albums a selection was made and some new material was added to it to form this promotional release.

Front cover illustration: Title page of 'Syntagma Musicum' (1619), a book by Praetorius with in it a photo of the ensemble members.

This release has yet another label than the other releases with the same catalog number.
The record-label shows in big black letters: 'His Master's Voice', under a small logo.

On sleeve: Opgenomen en vervaardigd door Bovema/EMI, Haarlem
On labels: Vervaardigd door N.V. Bovema onder licentie.
