General notes about this release (please note: our version may differ a little. see the comments above):

Record Store Day 2022 Exclusive Release
Limited to 8500

In 1974, after producing two of Willie's iconic albums, "Shotgun Willie" and "Phases and Stages", Jerry Wexler realized the next step in capturing Willie's true essence as a great songwriter and performer was to get him doing what he does best. So, over two nights and four sets, Willie and Family were recorded in front of the best audiences to play off of, at "The Texas Opry House" in Willie's backyard, Austin, Texas.
I had only been playing in the band for a year, but we had done close to 300 shows honing the sound. The show is raw energy and spirit of a racehorse heading for the barn are captured here, giving birth to a movement and a moment in time that still smolders.
- Mickey Raphael, Nashville, TN, 2021
