Thoroughly cleaning a record is an art in itself; it requires care, patience and a healthy dose of love. There are quite a few tactics people use to make their dusty records shine again. From a simple little brush to a drying rack full of 7-inches to the Okki Nokki. Modern as we are, we move with the times and currently swear by ultrasonic cleaning for records.
Ultrasonic sounds like a term from a comic-book inventor's lab, and honestly, that's not far off. In our lab we have mysterious machines that, with this cleaning method, polish a record like nothing else in no time. And all without actually touching the record – how does that work?
In short, it means a record is cleaned by very high-frequency sound waves in a special record bath. Afterwards, the record comes out dry, free of dust and shining again.
Of course, a scratch or scuff or anything of the sort can never be removed, but it brings a dirty record back to life and to its maximum potential: once out of the bath, the LP is spick and span, and you will hear the difference! Information previously buried under dust or greasy fingerprints comes into its own again, and everything sounds a whole lot clearer.
