At Vinyleers, we have organized our warehouse in a unique and efficient way. Instead of sorting our records by genre or artist, we have chosen a system based on alphanumeric codes and the order of arrival.
We started with Mark's shelf, the first one to begin listing, and named it M. This shelf is located in the first room, so it is labeled 0-1-LP-M. Every record that comes in gets a sequential number: 1, 2, 3, 4, and so on. This system helps us keep the records in the order of arrival without considering genre or artist.
We call this a chaotically organized system, and it has an important advantage: we can always find the right record, regardless of which records are ordered together. Whether someone orders ABBA and Zappa at the same time, we can find the records quickly and efficiently.
A significant reason why we use this system is to prevent records from being misplaced. With more than 140,000 products in our shelves, a misplaced record would be difficult to find. Therefore, we don’t allow just anyone into our warehouse. Our employees are well-trained and know exactly how to handle our system, ensuring that we can always find and send you the right record.
At Vinyleers, we strive to process every order accurately and quickly. Our unique warehouse organization plays a crucial role in achieving this goal and ensures that we can provide you with the best service possible.
