What determines the price?

Why is one record cheaper than another?

Some albums were released in multiple versions (pressings). There is the first pressing, which can be very valuable to collectors. When that stock runs out, a new pressing is made, called a repress or re-issue. These are often slightly different, such as a different sleeve or heavier vinyl.

Sometimes older albums are remastered, improving the sound quality. A new pressing is made for this as well. Differences in artwork or small production errors can also make a specific version more attractive.

What makes the difference in price?

For records that are not new, the market value is determined by scarcity and the condition of both the record and the sleeve. Pricing is based on supply and demand, and whether a version is limited or numbered.

Which variant should I choose?

If it’s mainly about the music, a repress is a good choice. An original or numbered edition has a different kind of appeal.

General notes about this release (please note: our version may differ a little. see the comments above):

℗ 1974 Made in France (on Labels).
Made and Printed in France (on back cover).

Note that the title of this LP is "E Langonned" - the inverted commas form part of it, both on the sleeve, the labels and even foreign issues like that of the U.K.

Credits for musicians are translated in Breton / Small text in French accompanying each song.
Inner sleeve with a long text of A.Stivell about Celtic music & the approach on this record, plus 2 lyrics in French & Breton (see pics)

The track A11 should read "An Sagart Ceolmhar" (the musical priest) but the error with a 'n' instead of an 'm' in the final word appears on every iteration of the sleeve and so is left uncorrected.

This seems to be the first press of this release with a Ⓨ on the back of the sleeve.

A slightly later version with a similar label layout, but with a sticker reading "PG 210" at the same spot were Ⓨ is on this release, is 9732372. Labels on that release have a different rim text on top, are completely flat and have a black ring around the spindle hole.

8571354 seems to be a still later issue, having "PG 210" already printed on rear sleeve, now underneath the Fontana imprint, with otherwise identical label layout.
