It's not 100% clear where the "PF" etched in the deadwax stands for. It's been alleged that the "PF" refers to Pathé France, from the French company Pathé Marconi, which has cut masters for German pressing plants before. One example is a 1973 Atlantic Germany copy of Led Zeppelin III, which has the "PF" in the deadwax as well. Source: Steve Hoffman forum.
