The songs were part of the music theatre performance "Spoon River" by the company Braakland/Zhebilding.
"Spoon River Anthology" is a book by Edgar Lee Masters (1869-1950) consisting of 244 epitaphs from a fictious Illinois town. Elvis Peeters translated all 244, Chris Carlier then put 12 of them to music.
