Wat is ultrasone reiniging?
Vanaf nu passen we bij iedere plaat boven de €50,- een nieuwe service toe: we reinigen de plaat ultrasoon. Kort gezegd houdt het in dat een plaat gereinigd wordt door zeer hoogfrequente geluidsgolven in een speciaal platenbadje. Hierna komt de plaat er droog en ontdaan van alle stof weer stralend uit.
Uiteraard kan een kras of een scuff nooit ontdaan worden, maar ultrasoon brengt een vuile plaat weer tot leven en tot zijn maximale potentie: eenmaal uit bad, is de LP weer spic en span en dat verschil zul je horen! Voorheen onder stof of door vette vingers bedolven informatie komt weer goed tot z'n recht en zo klinkt alles weer een stuk meer helder.
Nog gesealde platen blijven uiteraard gewoon gesealed!
Some albums were released in multiple versions (pressings). There is the first pressing, which can be very valuable to collectors. When that stock runs out, a new pressing is made, called a repress or re-issue. These are often slightly different, such as a different sleeve or heavier vinyl.
Sometimes older albums are remastered, improving the sound quality. A new pressing is made for this as well. Differences in artwork or small production errors can also make a specific version more attractive.
What makes the difference in price?
For records that are not new, the market value is determined by scarcity and the condition of both the record and the sleeve. Pricing is based on supply and demand, and whether a version is limited or numbered.
Which variant should I choose?
If it’s mainly about the music, a repress is a good choice. An original or numbered edition has a different kind of appeal.

Revised sleeve with just the MainMan logo on the rear sleeve.
The earlier sleeve has "a MAINMAN artiste' instead, see: [r9065797 & [r26099011 - this was in error as US original artwork only contained the logo, and the words were quickly removed - though the second word is still discernible on this issue.
Issued on 'neon' design RCA Victor smooth orange labels; initial copies stating dates 14th & 15th July inside fully laminated gatefold sleeve printed by Howards Printers (Slough) Ltd) and with matte paper printed inner sleeves with MainMan logo and individual cat#s APL2-0771-1 and APL2-0771-2. Price Codes GG and FF ('until Jan 1st 1975').
In the UK and US these dates were changed to 12th & 13th July on RCA reissues. Later reissues on Ryko and EMI provided different dates again.
This Live album was culled from performances [.. at the Tower Theatre, Philadelphia. It is complete and exact. No studio overdubs or re-recording of voices, instruments or audience have been added with the exception of several backing vocals due to loss of theatre mike contact.
