Track 3: Recorded on May 9, 1961. Originally issued on "Dexter Calling", Blue Note BST-84083, 1961.
Track 4, 5: Recorded on August 27, 1962. Originally issued on "Go!", Blue Note BST-84112.
Track 6, 7: Recorded on August 29, 1962. Originally issued on "Swingin' Affair", Blue Note BST-84113.
Track 8: Recorded on June 2, 1964 in Paris. Originally issued on "One Flight Up", Blue Note BST-84176. Does not appear on LP configuration.
Release notes in the booklet: "The classic Blue Note albums which span the mid 1950's to late 1960's were recorded directly on to two track analog tape. No multitrack recording was using and consequently no mixing was required. Therefore, this CD was made by transferring the on step analog master to digital".
