This a compilation of reissues of two original releases. "Shades of Blue" was originally released in 1966 on Fontana as "The Sharp Edge" and later reissued in 1973 on Black Lion Records as "Shades of Blue". "Night Work" was originally released in 1974 on Black Lion Records by Sonny Stitt & The Giants as "Night Work" and "Loverman".
