Plankenkoorts (the show) was written on request of the Holland Festival management and performed 18 times during the 25th Holland Festival by Freek de Jonge and Bram Vermeulen as Neerlands Hoop in Bange Dagen.

Plankenkoorts (the lp) was recorded at the Stadsschouwburg, Nijmegen, June 24, 1972, except tracks A2 and A4, recorded at the Stadsschouwburg, Eindhoven, June 23, 1972.
