Side 1 (apart from the second tune) was recorded on December 19th 1959 at my former Astoria New York studio. The second tune [... came from a session inaugurating my East 2nd St. Manhattan studio on February 22nd 1960. Side 2, was recorded later that same year (on September 8th) - again in the Manhattan studio [... On the second side a friend assisted by playing brushes on a telephone directory. (liner notes)
