Wat is ultrasone reiniging?
Vanaf nu passen we bij iedere plaat boven de €50,- een nieuwe service toe: we reinigen de plaat ultrasoon. Kort gezegd houdt het in dat een plaat gereinigd wordt door zeer hoogfrequente geluidsgolven in een speciaal platenbadje. Hierna komt de plaat er droog en ontdaan van alle stof weer stralend uit.
Uiteraard kan een kras of een scuff nooit ontdaan worden, maar ultrasoon brengt een vuile plaat weer tot leven en tot zijn maximale potentie: eenmaal uit bad, is de LP weer spic en span en dat verschil zul je horen! Voorheen onder stof of door vette vingers bedolven informatie komt weer goed tot z'n recht en zo klinkt alles weer een stuk meer helder.
Nog gesealde platen blijven uiteraard gewoon gesealed!
Some albums were released in multiple versions (pressings). There is the first pressing, which can be very valuable to collectors. When that stock runs out, a new pressing is made, called a repress or re-issue. These are often slightly different, such as a different sleeve or heavier vinyl.
Sometimes older albums are remastered, improving the sound quality. A new pressing is made for this as well. Differences in artwork or small production errors can also make a specific version more attractive.
What makes the difference in price?
For records that are not new, the market value is determined by scarcity and the condition of both the record and the sleeve. Pricing is based on supply and demand, and whether a version is limited or numbered.
Which variant should I choose?
If it’s mainly about the music, a repress is a good choice. An original or numbered edition has a different kind of appeal.

The first 15.000 UK copies were accompanied with a Free 5 Track 12" bonus disc [r=16937412.
This is the UK release without the Free 5 Track 12" [r=190497.
Released with a gatefold paper insert: One side contains a colour photograph of XTC with some text on the bottom left hand corner which can be read by holding the insert at an angle against the 'missing' back cover text. The other side contains a map of Swindon on the left hand side of the fold-out and photographs and a piece of text on the right. Also included is a customised standard paper inner sleeve with a rubber-stamp in red/pink.
