Recorded at 25 September 1966 at Walldorf Tonstudio in Mörfelden-Walldorf near Frankfurt. First cat# on label, second on sleeve. The title appears on back sleeve and labels. The (German) liner notes read that "Emil Mangelsdorff is the spiritus rector of the Swinging Oildrops" - so, other than on later re-releases "EM Swingin Oil Drops" appears to be the name of the band. On back sleeve the band is also written "E.M. Swinging Oil Drops".
