General notes about this release (please note: our version may differ a little. see the comments above):
Vinyl, limited to 2000 copies, released for Record Store Day, drop 2, 2021
This is my tribute to my brother Andrew Weatherall in conjunction with Duncan Gray.
This is also dedicated to Bob Weatherall (our Dad) who passed away 30th June, 2020.
Our reworking of “In A Lonely Place,” by New Order.
Release Date: 17th February 2021 and on vinyl for UK Record Store Day, July 17th, 2021.
All the proceeds are to be split equally between Andrew’s partner Lizzie, and Thrombosis UK.
The influence of Factory records in mine and Andrew’s life cannot be overstated. Their ethos regarding creativity over commercialism was to further forge Andrew’s path. Throughout the 1980’s we travelled far and wide to see New Order who at that time were renowned for no encores and never playing the same set twice. We would often go on consecutive nights, our cohorts being Cymon Eckel and Mark Dollery.
Treasured memories of great adventures!
Since February 17th 2020 a day has not passed when I haven’t quietly said “How I Wish You Were Here With Me Now.”
