General notes about this release (please note: our version may differ a little. see the comments above):

This version of the debut single by The Nits has a mix with handclaps. It's the earliest version of the single; the other and later version has a slightly different mix without handclaps.

The story behind "Yes or No" according to Alex Roelofs, band member of The Nits at that time:
This single was recorded at the Dureco Studio in Weesp (NL) with producer Alan David from England.
The recording wasn't finished yet so Henk Hofstede and Michiel Peters went to the Air Studios in London. Back in Holland the single was pressed but the template was faulty so the single sounded "floaty", not steady. It was decided to make another mix; another version of the single.
"Yes or No" gathered already some airplay on the radio and achieved even a higher position than ABBA's single "Knowing Me, Knowing You", but the single wasn't available in the record shops at that moment because of the repressing of it. Therefore "Yes or No" became a failure; it could have been a hit single...

According to Alex Roelofs this version of the single left the factory on 26 November 1976. Copies of this single were released together with the other version on 12 March 1977; the day it entered the Dutch charts.

Other info about this single:
The sleeve has a simple design by the record company (Burdorf Booking) and has a center hole so that the vinyl labels are visible. These vinyl labels show a torso which is designed by Alex Roelofs. This torso is taken from his anatomy books.
The BB logo on the sleeve is printed upside down and not reversed like on the sleeve of the other version. Identical vinyl labels are used on both versions. The catalogue numbers are identical to the other version.
